What PromptBridge does today, and what remains gated.
PromptBridge for Divi is an independent WordPress plugin exploring a safe bridge between Divi 5 and an independently installed official Codex runtime.
Current milestone
The staging alpha provides:
- safe activation when Divi or Codex is unavailable;
- a dedicated administrator capability;
- read-only PHP, WordPress, Divi, process, and runtime diagnostics;
- fixed-argument, time-bounded local version probing;
- a consent-gated model catalog refresh with a bounded, validated cache;
- plain-language model usage estimates based on current ChatGPT token credit rates;
- explicit consent before any Codex child process can run; and
- clean deactivation and uninstall behavior.
The current staging evidence uses licensed/current Divi 5.13.1 and the real Codex CLI 0.155.1 at a server-owned path. The Divi browser UI placement and layout were checked. PromptBridge is exposed under a dedicated Divi > PromptBridge submenu when Divi's top-level menu is available, or under Settings > PromptBridge otherwise. Its General, Diagnostics, and Advanced tabs work, but the plugin still does not authenticate, generate content, or alter Divi controls.

Why the boundary is strict
codex app-server is documented but experimental. Exact protocol support must
be generated from a pinned Codex release and tested live before PromptBridge can
rely on it. Divi control mutation also needs a version-specific acceptance test
even though the licensed staging editor is now available.
